A more accurate title for this section would be "Early Work Preceding and Contiguous with the first years of Lamb's Writing for Adventure," but as that wouldn't fit on a navigation button and sounds cumbersome, I didn't use it. I know almost nothing about the fiction indexed on this page and hope someday to track it down. I'm guessing this may be a challenge and welcome contact with any of you out there who own copies of it. "Marching Sands" and "Caravan of the Dead" were both printed in hardback by Appleton (as Marching Sands and House of the Falcon, respectively). In general Lamb's early magazine work lacked the fire and originality found in his Adventure stories, but there may be some undiscovered gems among these.
